City wide boom in hotel development continues

According to a recent article on the popular real estate blog, DNAinfo.com, a new hotel, which bills itself as "tapping into [Bushwick's] 'Raw Feeling of Creativity'" will open in spring of 2015. The 116-room Bklyn House Hotel is just one of the many non-union hotels slated to open in 2015, which means the only thing that's raw about the place is the poverty pay deal it will likely offer its employees.

HTC Organizer and Field Representative Charlotte Hall comments, "New York's hotel industry is growing rapidly. Unfortunately, without proper public oversight of hotel development, the middle class union jobs that New York's Hotel Industry has historically supported are not growing with it."
